PT. PEFINDO or "PT Pemeringkat Efek Indonesia" was established in Jakarta on December 21, 1993, through the initiative of BAPEPAM (the Capital Market's Supervisory Board), and Bank Indonesia (The Central Bank). On August 13, 1994, PEFINDO obtained its operating license (No. 39/PM-PI/1994) from BAPEPAM and remains one of the supporting institutions of the Indonesian Capital Market.

PEFINDO's main function is to provide objective, independent and credible ratings on the credit risk of publicly issued debt securities through rating activities.

Apart from rating activities, PEFINDO continues to produce & publicize credit information relating to the debt capital markets. These publication products cover credit opinion on major companies that have issued Bonds and its underlying sectors.

PEFINDO is a private limited liability company, and as of December 2003 owned by 100 domestic institutional shareholders, comprising of major pension funds, banks, insurers, Jakarta Stock Exchange (JSX), Surabaya Stock Exchanges (SSX) and securities companies.

To enhance the rating methodology & criteria as well as rating process, PEFINDO is supported through its affiliate global partner: Standard & Poor's Rating Services (S&P's). PEFINDO also continues to actively participate in the Asian Credit Rating Agencies Association (ACRAA).

SUAD HUSNAN
Suad has been the President Commissioner of PT Pemeringkat Efek Indonesia (PEFINDO) since May 2003. He has also been lecturing in the Faculty of Economics of Gadjah Mada University since 1975 and has been appointed as the Dean Assistant during 1992-1994. Currently, he is the Deputy of State Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises covering Financial Institutions, Construction & Other Services Division. He obtained a Bachelor’s degree from Gadjah Mada University – Faculty of Economics, an MBA from Katholieke Universiteit (Leuven-Belgia), and a Ph.D – Department of Accounting & Finance from University of Birmingham, England.

NELSON TOBING
Nelson has been a Commissioner of PEFINDO since June 2002. Previously, he had been working at Bank Indonesia during 1975-2002 with the last position as the Director of Directorate of Bank Inspection I. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Prof. DR. Moestopo University, Jakarta and a Master’s degree in Management from AIM-Manila.

BAMBANG SABARIMAN
Bambang has been a Commissioner of PEFINDO since June 2002. He had been working at Bank Dagang Negara (BDN) – now PT Bank Mandiri Tbk – during 1974-1999 with the last position as a Director. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Corporate Economics from Diponegoro University, Semarang.

ANANTA WIYOGO
Ananta is the President Director of PT Pemeringkat Efek Indonesia (PEFINDO). Prior to joining PEFINDO, he was the Finance Director of PT Tunas Sepadan Investama. He also has worked as a Director at BT Prima Securities Indonesia/ Bankers Trust (Jakarta representative), the Managing Director at Niaga Finance Co. Ltd., Hong Kong and has held several senior positions at PT ARCO Indonesia, PT Argo Manunggal International and PT Bank Niaga Tbk. Ananta holds a Bachelor’s degree in Fisheries from Bogor Institute of Agriculture (IPB), an MSM in Management from Arthur D. Little Management Education Institute (NEASC)-Cambridge Massachusetts, U.S.A. and an MSF/Master in Finance from Bentley College (AACSB) – Boston, USA.

EVA N. MUIS
Eva is a Director of PT PEFINDO, responsible for managing and leading the team of analysts for financial institutions sectors and New Rating Product group. Prior to joining PT PEFINDO, Eva was the Equity Research Director of PT Kim Eng Securities in Jakarta. She has also worked for PT Peregrine Sewu Securities and PT Development Capital Securities with the last position as the Director of Research Department. Eva holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Science-Mathematics from Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB), an MSc in Consumer Economics from University of Missouri-Columbia, U.S.A. and an MBA from University of South Dakota, U.S.A.

URIP SUPRODJO
Urip is a Director of PT PEFINDO. Before joining PT PEFINDO, he held the position of Director at PT Reksasentosa Dinamika and PT Danareksa Jakarta International, which both are PT Danareksa’s subsidiaries, after had managed several divisions at PT Danareksa such as Research and Equity Trading. Urip obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Economics-Development Study from Diponegoro University, Semarang, a Magister Management (MM) degree from IPMI-Jakarta and an MBA from Monash Mt. Eliza University – Australia.

SALYADI SAPUTRA
Salyadi is an Associate Director at PT Pemeringkat Efek Indonesia (PEFINDO), managing the Corporate Rating Division whose responsibility covers infrastructure, telecommunication, automotive, resource base, oil and gas, property, construction, and etc. Prior to joining PT PEFINDO, he has worked for Dai_ichi Kangyo Panin Finance for five years. Salyadi graduated from Faculty of Economics - Accounting, University of Indonesia.

VONNY WIDJAJA
Vonny Widjaja is a Manager at PT PEFINDO in Corporate Rating Division with the primary responsibility covering sectors in consumer products, retail, building materials, textile and textile products. Prior to joining PT PEFINDO, she worked for an agribusiness company, in accounting department. Vonny holds a Magister Management (MM) degree in Finance from Prasetiya Mulya Graduate School of Management, Jakarta and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics majoring in Accounting from Surabaya University (Ubaya), Surabaya.

NIKEN INDRIARSIH
Niken is an Analyst in Corporate Rating Division for retail, consumer products, chemicals, media and poultry sectors. Before joining PT PEFINDO, she has worked as an auditor at PricewaterhouseCoopers Public Accounting Firm, Jakarta, for several years. Niken obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Economics, majoring in Accounting from University of Indonesia, a Magister Management degree in Financial Management from the same university and passed the Level I CFA Program in 2002.

HENDRO UTOMO
Hendro is an Analyst for Corporate Rating Division, with a particular focus in infrastructure, telecommunications, and automotive sectors. Before joining PT PEFINDO, he has seven years experience of working in the fields of risk management and corporate banking in multinational banks. Hendro earned a Bachelor’s degree in Economics, majoring in Money and Banking from University of Indonesia.

RONALD HERTANTO
Ronald is an Analyst in Corporate Rating Division with the primary coverage of natural resources (plantation, pulp & paper, timber & wood), shipping and information technology sectors. Prior to joining PT PEFINDO, he worked in accounting department at PT Frisian Flag Indonesia. Ronald holds a Magister Management degree in finance management from PPM-Graduate School of Management and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from University of Sebelas Maret.

DIANA BOEKY
Diana is a Senior Manager at PT PEFINDO in Financial Institutions Rating Division, with primary sector coverage of banking, multi-finance, insurance and securities industry. Prior to joining PT PEFINDO, she was an auditor at Prasetio Utomo – Arthur Andersen Public Accountant Firm. Diana obtained a Bachelor’s degree of Economics, majoring in Accounting from University of Indonesia.

YANTO E. UMAR, CFA
Yanto is a Senior Analyst in Financial Institutions Rating Division, with sector coverage of banking, securities and multi-finance. Before joining PT PEFINDO, he has seven years working experience in the field of commercial and corporate banking in local and multinational banks. Yanto holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) and is a CFA charterholder.

YANS BAGA SIMBOLON
Yans is an Analyst in Financial Institutions Rating Division with a primary focus on multi-finance, insurance and commercial & sharia banking sectors. He has worked for several years at Zurich Group Indonesia and PT Kaltim Prima Coal for several positions before joining PT PEFINDO. Yans obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering from Bandung Intitute of Technology (ITB) and Magister Management (MM) degree in Finance from PPM Graduate School of Management and has passed Level I CFA Program in 2004.

SEVERINO BUDIPRATAMA
Severino is a Senior Manager at PT PEFINDO, managing the Information Services Division. He is also an analyst for Corporate Governance Scoring. Prior to joining PT PEFINDO, he had worked for several securities companies, doing asset valuation and securities analysis. Severino earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Catholic University of Atma Jaya, Jakarta, Indonesia.
