Corporate Governance Score (CGS) measures a company’s
corporate governance practices and policies with
the emphasized assessments on four basic elements
of accountability, responsibility, transparency
and fairness to the extent of the company’s
interests in serving its stakeholders. A CGS is
articulated on a scale of CGS 1 (lowest) to CGS
10 (highest). It should be noted that the score
do not address specific legal, regulatory and market
environment. The CGS score is also only conducted
in an international basis of comparison conducted
by S&P’s. PEFINDO is involved in the CGS
assessments with Standard and Poor’s (S&P)
for the Indonesian companies, but do not specifically
issue its own scoring system.
Asset-Backed Securities (ABS) Rating is also another
PEFINDO’s rating product. In this exercise,
we utilize the structured product to come up with
certain risk profile/benchmark that might more suitable
for sophisticated investors. The goal of the structure
is to enhance the credit quality of the debt instrument
by a certain securitization. For this rating product,
PEFINDO is fully assisted by its affiliate S&Ps
in terms of procedures and methodology/criteria.
