  Rating Services

Rating is PEFINDO’s main activities. The rating products conducted by PEFINDO are categorized into two types:

  1. Company rating, which is also called a General Obligation (GO) rating or an issuer rating is an assessment of the overall credit worthiness of a company, including those that are planning to issue debt instruments, or function as a guarantor, insurer, or other provider of credit enhancement (Company rating, which is also called a General Obligation (GO) rating or an issuer rating is an assessment of the overall credit worthiness of a company, including those that are planning to issue debt instruments, or function as a guarantor, insurer, or other provider of credit enhancement (“obligor”) to timely meet its financial commitments relative to that of other Indonesian obligors. Counterparty credit ratings are form of Company Ratings. Issuer or Company Ratings do not automatically apply to specific debt securities, as they do not take into account the nature and provisions of the debt security, its standing in bankruptcy proceedings or liquidation, statutory preferences, or the legality and enforceability of the debt security itself. In addition, Issuer or Company Ratings do not take into account the creditworthiness of the guarantors, insurers, or other forms of credit enhancement supporting the company’
  2. Debt instrument rating, is a rating reflecting the creditworthiness of an obligor to timely meet its financial commitments associated to a specific debt, bond, MTN, commercial paper program or other financial instrument (Debt instrument rating, is a rating reflecting the creditworthiness of an obligor to timely meet its financial commitments associated to a specific debt, bond, MTN, commercial paper program or other financial instrument (“obligation”
    - Bond Rating for long-term debt period (more than 5 years);
    - Medium Term Notes (MTN) for 1-3 year period; and
    - Commercial Paper (CP) and Promissory Notes (PN) for short-term period (below 1 year).
