IDX-PEFINDO Prime Bank Becomes the Most Prime Stock Index on the Indonesian Stock Exchange in 2023

The IDX-PEFINDO Prime Bank Index (PRIMBANK10) is the most outperformed index among the stock indices listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI). The banking index that accommodates the PEFINDO rating has continued an upward trend since its launch on 04 October 2023. The banking sector will grow quite significantly in 2023. Banking sector shares are one of the sectors supporting the IHSG rate which has soared in recent times. Since its launch, the IDX-PEFINDO Prime Bank Index recorded an increase of 3.95%. Meanwhile, if we look during 2023, the IDX-PEFINDO Prime Index moves in the range of 188.17 – 237.91, recording a positive return of 15.54% year-to-date (YTD) until the end of December 2023. When compared with another reference index, the IDX-PEFINDO Prime Bank Index, showed superior performance over the last year and moved very high.

Continuing its excellent performance in 2023, PEFINDO together with BEI have again determined new constituents in a major review which is routinely carried out every 6 (six) months in December and June – which will be valid for the next six months. Based on the results of a study using ranking data held by PEFINDO as well as share trading data from companies in the banking sector owned by the IDX, the following are the companies that are constituents of the IDX-PEFINDO Prime Bank Index for the period January to December 2024:
